Visit us!Our Members meetings are open to the public and are usually held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4600 Manchaca (or Menchaca historically) Road, Austin, TX 78745. Visitors and newcomers are always welcome! Y'all come join us.
Most meetings feature:
- a review of the past month's 'Lost and Found' and other activities
- announcement of upcoming events
- a guest presenter on a topic of interest to the detectorist
- the opportunity to show off your finds and to see those of others
- a drawing for visitors to receive a silver coin
- a drawing for Members to receive a silver coin
- a 'Find of the Month' contest with coin prizes in each of ten categories
- a raffle for silver coins and other items of value
- lots of upbeat camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts

January 11, 2024: AMDC Members meeting featuring Tom Ashworth talking about the XP Deus II detector. Plus clues to the next cache that was just hidden by Mitch London.
January 13, 2024: AMDC Members only seeded Fun Hunt at Camp Ben McCulloch starting at 10 a.m. Come early and/or stay late to search for the real oldies still hiding at the camp. Ed swears there's lots of them.
February 8, 2024: AMDC Members meeting featuring two seeded hunts at the church. The first will be with lights OUT, the second will be with lights ON. Bring your detecting and pinpointing equipment, plus a strong flashlight. Leave your shovel at home - you won't need it and we aren't allowed to dig. Don't be late - the first hunt starts at 7 p.m. Note the different entrance for the meeting.
